Who we are

On Record is a service of Lawrence Enterprise LLC. We help people find unclaimed money held by states and counties.

The free search

When you send a request, we search the official unclaimed property records of the states you pick, under the names you give us, and tell you on a private page whether we found money in your name. The search is free. What was found (the state, the amount, who reported it and the state's ID) is shown only after you pay for the details.

Same names

We match records by name. A record can belong to someone else with the same name. The details show the name and address the state has on file, so you can tell whether it is yours. The $9.99 is for the details and is not refunded if a record turns out to belong to someone else.

The details

The details of what we found (which state holds it, the amount, who reported it and the state's property ID) and your claim kit (the link to the state's claim site, the steps and what to have ready) cost $9.99, paid by card through Stripe before they are shown. By paying, you agree to these Terms. Paying for the details does not hire us to claim the money: you claim it yourself, and the state pays you directly. The details come from public records, and you can always search for and claim your money from the state or county yourself, at no cost. The same goes for the details of county surplus money we locate for you.

Claiming it yourself

You can always claim your money from the state yourself, at no cost. Your page shows each state's official claim site.

Accuracy

We report what the state and county records show. They decide every claim; we cannot promise that they will pay or how much.
